it is wonderful to hear from you as well...take one day at a time my sweet friend...I know your faith in God will get you through...he helped me when my husband passed at 54...but I know I will see him again as well...

First of all you have all my sympathy. I am currently recovering from a whole series of deaths of people important to me in 2022 and 2023, for which I wrote several poems and essays. All I can say is that recovery is a slow, painful process. I liked your poem very much. Perhaps it reminds me that it is time to go back and read my own once more. kay

I don't know what it's like, to lose someone so close to me, and I can really feel your emotions in this poem; after all, real poetry revolves around real emotions. Sad poem, and I'm guessing it's based on a true story. It's sad, but it really kept me on my toes - till the end... Not bad.

Thank you. Fortunately we have been prepared for this for some time. We just never thought it would be her to be the first to leave.

I cared for my husband for quite some time and each time the doctors said this would be it...it wasn't. He use to joke and say I had turned him into a cat with nine lives. But when it happened, though I knew it would, my heart stopped...I didn't know who I was supposse to be any more. Thank heavens...the Lord showed me the way.

Some may wonder, but the gift of writing helps me to sort out my feelings and be able to put into perspective my true feelings. My faith helps me to know that she is at peace, and not suffering at all.
