Hi steve,
With all of these chores, I'm glad that you had time to write them down in perfectly metered, rhyming quatrains with an alliteration here and there and fine use of enjambment.
If this is your list, I'm wondering, now,about your wife's.
I love the title. LOL
And who told you what goes on at my house?
We'd better spray those fruit trees there;
Their leaves are turnin' black.
The neighbour's cow's out on the road;
Let's go and drive her back,
Then chop and stack the firewood
And fix that leaky tap;
The water pump's gone on the fritz,
The front gate has a gap,

Gosh, I didn't notice that you lived at my place Steve! Sounds like MY worklist (except, of course, I"m SWMBO AND DON'T FORGET IT!) One more thing today though - a guest called to say a bloody CAT had died outside their cottage ... so we had to send the poor thing to Happy Hunting Ground for Cats ... just part of the everyday fun ... :)

Thank you for the laugh. Great poem. You could have shortened it a bit and still been as effective. About three quarters of the way through the poem some of the "to do" items were too close to home and I started to panic at thought of all the things I needed to do. Humor is great medicine. Keep on doing it.
