I thought this was absolutely, exceptionally outstanding. If I can even put those words together. You have such great imagery in this poem it helps the reader connect to God right along with you. You describe such beauty you can feel the love in the words. I also like the honesty in the poem. You talk of how at times you have cursed him or forgotten him but then you remind us how even still he has not forgotten us. Thought the notes made a great story as well. Great Job.

What a great poem. I love the repeating phrase: I am no stranger to God.
Your poem flows very well and paints a magnificent picture.
Maybe I'm a little over emotional today, but this is the second time today, while reading poems, that tears have come to my eyes.
Again, a wonderful picture you have painted with words and I'm sorry for the bulldozed dogwoods. It's amazing how some things that may seem small to others mean the world to us.

Beautiful, Diane. I wish your mother could have seen the dogwoods, too.... but then I think she could. :-)
Truly inspired poetry here, thank you for the uplifting view into your world. Easter has passed, but your poem filled in the missing link that my Easter didn't hold. I was too busy, and missed church, missed time to be thankful, missed giving thanks. missed thinking of the true meaning of Easter.
You filled that in for me. Thank you.

Thank you, Diane for the green poem, the landscape the trees the trip through the nature. I am still angry with Him for he already took everyone from me pops up unexpectedly, in old customs, in music in a waking up nature. I made myself a stranger.

I need not say anything, Diane. I have had the honor of reading quite a few poems in my lifetime, but this one is near, if not, at the top. Congratulations on this thing of beauty.

sunset, - omg...tell me about it- I've seen some amazing sunsets and rises
Beside this unsuspecting
peaceful pathway,- petaled with light wishes
I am no stranger to God,
nor is He to me,- we've known him all our lives
