I thought this poem flowed well and you used the list of words wisely and creatively. The structure makes sense and nothing was forced. It incorporated Yoga into the strong mental images and I felt I was there. Good luck in the contest. Pat Crandall

Thank you Pat for a very insightful review.

I can imagine this pose and hear the breath as well. There is nothing like relaxing and slowing the body down. I like the creative way that you used the words in the contest, because this was a positive use of some of the negative words. Good luck with the contest. ann

Thank you so much for the very positive review to this work in yoga!

You know, I have never understood yoga, at all. I think after reading this wonderfully crafted poem, you both satisfied me with good writing, as well as gave me insight as to what the big "yoga hype" was about.
Great job.

Hi Thomas. This is the best comment of all, that because of my writing you got an insight to what "yoga hype" is about. writing this review based only in my words.

Well, I've tried the yoga thing, and it wan't my thing, so I'm impressed with anyone who can do those move. As for the praying, I usually just do that on my knees. Great little poem, sound relaxing. Great job.

A very interesting and different topic you have used here. A well structured and free flowing poem, in free verse format, it is interesting AND informative. You met all the conditions of the contest, and I wish you luck.
Warmest regards, Marijke

Hi amada, I enjoyed reading your Author Notes, but even more, this wonderful poem. It flowed so smoothly right down the page which made for easy reading. I enjoyed your descrptions and your feelings while doing yoga. I tried, but afraid I'm not flexible enough. Well written and I enjoyed. . .Sharon

I enjoyed very much, but would like to take off a few years. I could have done it then, lol!

This poem has a lovely feel to it and is a delight to experience. I really enjoyed it as well as the pose (because it is so comforting). The metaphor at the end kind of bothered me. All the flowing seemed to stop. I wondered if you might consider "a freshly crafted vase" or something rather than a container. But in fact as i write i realize that "vase" is just fine.

Hi Sandy, that was entirely my wish, to express serenity through this work. Thank you!

Your poem is quite beautiful, and your delivery is very unique. I like your analogy with yoga, because both your presentations are total surrender to peace.

This is very beautiful. It had a flow as I read it, like a yoga instructor could be saying these words to help the participant experience the full umpact of the stretch. I like the feeling of surrendering to the
"daunting drugs
that fuel my darkness."
Nicely done.
