I'm not sure intuition is real, and I think it's more of a feeling based on observant and thoughtful experience.
Anyway, it's all very well having it, but putting it to the good for ourselves and others is maybe another gift. Not much point in being intuitive and expecting to have our head chopped off by a passing upside-down helicopter, and then forgetting to duck. ;-)
Excellent definition of 'intuition', as you see it, and you imply it's always a positive thing, which can't be bad.
With respect, I think poetic meter is a MUST in rhymed/structured poetry, for a far smoother read, and this needs work in that department...if you're interested, of course.
An entertaining and well thought out post.

Intuition and following it are very good traits. I'm not sure all have it or at least they are not perspective enough to follow it. But again many don't have common sense either:)

I really enjoyed your poem, especially the ending. as I say energy and love never dissipate, it only changes form. I am divorced with a couple of kids of which I say this about their father and I. the only thing you might want to ponder is starting a line with the word "And". great job...pamela

This is such a well written poem. I wish I had an extra star; however, my "intuition" was not in rhyme! (The picture was perfect for the piece yet it stood so well on its own that nothing was needed to augment it.) The only thing I would change would be to omit the word "tons" in the second stanza. Bravo!

Not necessarily a problem, but the subject matter seems to lend itself towards the ethereal, mystical, or mysterious even. Therefore, is the vocabulary used matches the tone of the subject more, it raises the overall quality significantly. Still, nicely done.
