Excellent portrayal of nature tied into one of mans favorite pastimes. You nailed the three lines and correct syllables. I have never written a 5-7-5 and appreciate someone that can such as yourself. It was funny and made you think.

I am not a poet, nor have I ever cared to be. I just started writing a few of these in hopes of putting a smile on a needy face. Sometimes, something as simple as a kind hello, or a goofy poem might take a person's mind off his or her problems for just a minute. I know it probably sounds silly, but at least I hope it works. Thank you so much, John, for taking time to read another of my little poems. It's hard for even me to imagine how I started off writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. But you know, it doesn't sound like an all bad idea. LOL! Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

I have to confess that I would not normally review a short three line poem as I don't like them as I don't think that they have enough content. However the picture you used complemented the poem so much that I thought it was fun. So well done.

Yes, with so little content or meaning, I almost always work to incorporate the poem, title, and even the picture to try and add some kind of substance to these short form. I can't imagine how I started off writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. LOL! Cute, and a very strong contest entry, but it only rates a good? LOL! Oh, well, I'll just going to have to try harder and lay off the moonshine (wouldn't you know, I don't even drink anything stronger than iced tea or coffee). Thanks so much for reading and reviewing my little, silly poem. :-)

Don't be sorry. Just change it! LOL! No, seriously, that is the only reason I said anything. I once reviewed two people in the same day that I gave three-star reviews, and I've never given a three in my life, nor would I. Then, I came to find out that if I hit a key at the wrong time during writing the review, it would change the number. So, now, I write the reviews and then save inserting the number as the last thing. It must have helped. No one has been mad at me since. At least about that. You're a sweetheart, and I knew something wasn't just right. Wishing you the best! :-)
