Well done. This is very scary, the scariest scenario I could think of. It's a perfect poem for Halloween. You did a great job also with an animation and a picture.

Well done.

This Halloween Horror Haiku poem speaks sometimes changes bring in disaster as the poet imagines the mutated virus may turn us to be flesh-eating zombies; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

I am not a horror aficionado but this is well written and well presented with a well chosen illustration to make the point of your writing. Nicely done.

Appropriately ghoulish. If this happens people will be more scared at the prospect of being eaten by one of their fellows that of catching Corona! Cheers and chills! LIZ

M.,

Oh. I am sad. When I saw this contest the other day - I knew instinctively that you had created it, and I felt a pang of sadness. It is still so hard for me to believe that he's gone. I know he would have loved this contest -- although he also probably would have swept up all the prizes, too. haha

This poem of yours is certainly on-pointe. *smile* Yeah, yeah, you COULD be talking about zombies who sneak up on us and attack... or it could be a metaphor for this fabulous state we are all currently living in. Blah. And Bleck. And uuueeeewwww, yuck!

*smile*

THANK YOU for creating this contest. I'm sorry I was too late to enter. Silly me. (Of course, you know I'm not fab at writing these. It's a curse.) But I would have joined in just in memory. --sigh--

Unfortunately, by the time I remembered, I'd already posted two things.

Thank you and good luck!

God Bless our own sweet Dean! He had a kind heart and deep faith and yet many who did not dig deeper into his portfolio would have thought it was all horror all the time. You made me smile to remember him and dedicate this to him. May your poem NEVER come true!--Karenina

Hello Gypsy,
This is a great entry for the hallowe'en horror contest. Gory and horrible. In addition it's timely, as we have no idea where Covid is going to take us next. Good luck in the contest.

Katherine
PS no dash between line 2 and 3 (see author's note).

Ohhhh, that is a skeery one, that Dean would've appreciated greatly. If Covid mutates and turns people into hungry, hungry zombies.

Wishing you much luck in the contest.

Gloria

Hello Gypsy
Oh yes you definitely have a halloween horror haiku about
covid19 that mutated to make patients cannibals.
is so frighting to even think about.

Yes, your 5-7-5 haiku is sufficiently scary for Halloween. The possibility of "famished cannibals" is unthinkable, but Dean would have appreciated it! Best wishes in the Halloween Horror contest- Joan

I think this version flows better and "flesh-eating" is more dramatic. Well done- Joan
