Alas, this is a deep one. We will be able to spy eternity once we have shed our mortal bodies which confine us. The Bible says, "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." A wonderful hope for the Christian.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the contest,

Ya gotta watch the nutty blonde... she digs waaaay below the surface sometimes... ;) :) :) (wink, wink) Twenty words isn't much to work with, but I enjoy a challenge when it comes to numbers - lol! ;) :) Once a nerd, always a nerd, yeah? ;) Thanx for the review, Lady Sal, and have a wonderful week of lovely October skies! ;) Yvette

A very well-written twenty-word poem about searching to find forever's key. It seems just out of reach. It seems only childlike people will find the gate to enter heaven.

-That is quite an image
and good presentation, Yvette.
-You have used your 20 words well.
-A good topic, imagery,and rhyme.
-A good contrast between the
sets of lines-seeing eternity
but it was "out of reach."
-A good ending, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome, Yvette, and I agree about 20 words. Having been an English major, that is nothing! You have a good week ahead, too.

This is so beautiful and the picture is a perfect compliment. As always your pieces lift me to a higher mode of perception where my imagination is free to dance. Thank you so much for your work my friend.

Hey, hey -- so glad to have you dancing, my lady, and as the great Werner Von Braun said, "don't hang up your dancing slippers!" (wink, wink) :) :) Ya know, twenty words isn't much to work with, but I enjoy a challenge when it comes to numbers - lol! ;) :) Once a nerd, always a nerd, I suppose... thanx for the wonderful review and have a spectacular week of lovely October skies! ;) Yvette

Good morning to you, Yvette
A most thoughtful write with a rather busy picture to accomodate.
When we are little, the world does feel eternal and full of magical promise, but alas, that forever feeling ebbs away the older we get and we realise there are no piles of gold at the end of a pretty rainbow...
kind regards

"Sequestered", is short, succinct, and very much to the point. It was a pleasure to both, read and review this talented poet's work. This delightfully descriptive piece, was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Yvette,
nerds of the world unite! I just KNEW we were related!!!! I'm better with words, but numbers have that certain zing. I hope you have a wonderful week too.
God bless, take care, and keep safe!

Sadly, no sixers left for this lovely entry for the four Line Poem contest - as always, beautiful presentation. I loved the feel of this, your words and flowing lines echoing the gorgeous artwork. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

You have made excellent use of your twenty words in this thoughtful and thought-provoking piece; it conveys a powerful message about those out-of-reach aspects of life. We cannot literally re-visit childhood, just as we can't see the future.
