Well their black moist noises are always wet and fresh ..
I used snout because it rhymes with out
I knew readers would get the gist..the poor pooch in the pick was dumped in April 2019 .. but after being rescued he soon found a happy forever home ..
Sadly too few do .
Keep safe!

My parents are working on adopting a dog as thiers recently passes away. It is sad what animals go through. People can be so cruel. Your words are tinged with sadness yet you leave the reader with hope on the new family being made.

Funny poem about how dogs forgive owners (and luckily for them, there are other humans that remember the forgotten pets). Saving pets from shelters is a very altruistic task and it is valued not only by pets but also from other humans... Great picture that shows loneliness and carelessness...

The dog in the picture was dumped by his owner in April 2019 but he was lucky .. once rescued he was relocated soon after in a forever home ..
Lonely and downtrodden ... betrayed by his own family .. the family he loved and trusted ..
It?s heart breaking ..
Thank you for reviewing my entry!

Aw, poor pooch! At least he found a new home where he will receive good care. In two quatrains, you have told the past, present and the future of this once-abandoned dog. The photograph complements your poem well.
Good luck in the contest.

He was a sad sight but at least his story has a happy ending ..
Too many end up being gassed .. more owners need to be responsible
... pets need to be sterilised ...
This would help considerably in keeping the number of strays down ...and there would be a lot less suffering going on too...
Thank you for the kind review!
Comment from Gloria ....
Aw, he does look like a nice boy who could use a good home. He was lucky you came around. I purchased my old cat, who was seven years old at the time, from the pound and he is a pure joy.
Just one typo:
Poor pooch, dumped and tide (tied) to a pole
Wishing you much luck with the voters.

Thank you .. I just read your review .. while I was editing I change tied to chained ..
This pooch was dumped in April 2019..
I m glad to say that the rescue shelter found a forever home for him.
He looked downtrodden in that pic but he is all smiling now!
Glad you opted to save a shelter cat and gave it a loving home...
Most of my pets were strays too!
Keep safe!
