My condolences on the passing or your son. There is a good feeling in your poem as the bird is providing lunch for his mate. You have a smooth poetic flow of words and a strong steady beat. You also create a clear scene of nature and it is wonderful to read a poem about a mockingbird.

First of all I'm very sorry for your loss. Can't imagine what you must be going through. Your poem is very beautifully written. I like your chosen words today the mockingbird flew by my window pane. With tasty tidbit gripped and dangling from his beak a morsel to be shared with waiting mate. He wooed and won her in the spring. Nicely done.

Perfectly done and just the right time to be read. My heart cries for you, it took me years to write about my twins but when i did i use it to reach those that need to hear, they are not alone and through God, they will survive through understanding. My prayers to you as long as you need them. I dont know how you feel, i only know how i felt

I am so sorry for your loss and can understand, as a fellow writer, how our emotions can spur us into action, or slow us down while our hearts are trying to adjust to a tragic situation. I feed several varieties of birds every day and the mockingbirds are one of my favorites. They always gulp the chopped grapes I put out right away. It always makes me smile watching all the different species getting along together while having a feast. The squirrels join in as well, and enjoy peanuts the most.

Welcome back. I have a tendency to frequently say 'better late than never' so I really enjoyed your poem about the little mockingbird and his mate. It was very well presented and I found the theme rather interesting, lunch is always delightful. (But I am not crazy about worms, yuk)

This sounds like a nice picnic lunch for the love birds. This is a new form for me. It seems intricate and fun to write. I might try.

As to your poetic offering, it is delightful. I've yet to see and/or hear a mockingbird. They don't venture this far north, or so I understand. But your mockingbird is much like my purple finches, cardinals, and chickadees. So very sweet.

I understand this very well. I lost my second son to Cancer a fight hard to explain but knowing God was on his side gives a peace that passes all understanding.
My heart and prayers are for you and the others who was so close to him.
It is hard to come back to the idea of sharing thoughts, but you must go on for he would want that for your own peace of mind. It will give you strength you never knew you had.

We take it day by day. I was troubled about my son's death and I went to prayer and one night God gave me a night vision of my son's grave at the foot of the cross.
"My grace is sufficient" He spoke.
