I saw a man walking, crying

The closeness, yet the distance of life in the city.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Wow, so many questions and unanswered scenario this mystery man left behind. I like your eccentric construction with the man spiraling from one situation to the next. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thank you SIX times Iza! If this poem was to be read aloud, I see the narrator using an appropriate emotion for each para read. Then a sad resolve at the end. Thank you again!!!

Thanks Carlos Girl for your review. You have just 10 seconds to go through all the emotions listed. You want to help, but there are 2 on there, maybe three that say No!. Don't do it. But that does'nt mean it does'nt effect you.

i didnt mean to offend you

No problem, not offended. The poem is about an attitude people have in the city. The don't get involved mind set. I'm afraid I had that myself.
I'm in the country now, so I'm healed. :>)

I know, I lived in New York city before covid. I was undergoing cancer treatment and one day I could not walk any further. I sat on the sidewalk in tears. Not one person asked if they could help me. It was devastating

Wow, I can see why this has special meaning for you.
New York, the bigger the city, the tighter the personal space. Men can be shy about these things, but its hard to think not one women helped you.
I hope you are Cancer free now, or in remission.
That incidence in my poem was 35 years ago, I still can't forget it.
