Perfect Poem!
I have had one Night Queen in a flower pot and it was incredible to watch that show with such short duration! As you described, at sunrise all the beauty magically disappeared as fast as it arrived!

Ephemeral beauty forces viewer to appreciate it most!

One thing that surprised me is that Italians say "Ciao" for both saying "Hello" and "Good Bye"! My parents has born there!!

I love the sound of ...Ciao .. it?s very pleasant to the ear .

I?m from the North of Italy , near the lakes ..my father ( he passed away three years ago ) was from Valtellina ..Sondrio. ( at the foot of the Alps )

I agree with you, the word has a special sorrounding energy! My parents were both from Italy (South) and have "Ciao" as part of my childhood with my grandparents..

What an unusual flower you've chosen to write about so vividly. It intrigued me and never having heard of it I googled it to learn more. Perhaps you could include in your notes that it is a cactus bloom.
