Once again Beth, thank you for sharing some of your family life with us. You are one lucky person to have survived being taken by a tornado. I would have thought that you would be the one, not to be near a hurricane. You mentioned the blizzard in February of '78, I was lucky enough to be our sick that day. Many of my co-workers were stranded for days, and unable to get home. MA declared a state of emergency, and people stranded on the highway had to be rescued.
God was looking out for me that day, as I am rarely sick.
One of the hurricanes that hit MA in the late 50's caused so many trees to come down, that it was over a week before they could remove the trees and get power back. In that storm, I witnessed the eye of the storm pass over our house. The trees were bending in one direction, then after the eye passed, they bent in the other.
Thanks again for sharing, and getting my mind working to start the day.
Dick

Thank you for reviewing and commenting on my story. I'm glad you shared your story with me. I only heard about what was going on up North with the blizzard on the news. Now I feel like I know someone who actually experienced it.

A lot going on here in this accounting of life. It is a very valuable thing to make an account of your lives as it will be a wonderful thing to reflect on for you as well as your family.

Beth,

*smile* I really admire your memory! I don't know how you can remember all these things from so long ago!

Notes:
1.) The family had some dre(a)dful things to say about Shirley.

2.) You had a greater fear of hurricanes(and) tornados than I did.

3.) Both (h)urricanes(,) Babe and Anita, threatened New Orleans

4.) Christi (w)as so embarrassed because she had to get on the school bus wearing a bathrobe,

5.) She though(t) maybe she had a physical problem.

Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for the review and for finding those typos. I have corrected them. I realize this is longer than it should have been and I do appreciate your reading it. Is there anything else I could can do to bring up my rating?

Hey, Beth, I don't tell everyone this, but if you ever get a weaker rating from me, I will usually tell you what was 'wrong' with your post. If you do some editing and then LET ME KNOW, I am happy to come back and re-rate. Thanks!

Wow, there was a lot going on in this chapter, Beth.
Divorce, Hurricanes, Tornadoes and family and serial Killers. I continue to be amazed at your recall of the past. You led an interesting life, Beth. Well done. Nancy:)

Thank you so much for the review. I think I made this chapter a little too long. I'm wondering if many people will read it. I do appreciate your input.
