This is a well written Naani poem. In short verses it displays possible life and death scenarios in a desolated tundra. I also like the choice of the picture, which goes so well with the photo. I hope the author good luck in the contest.

La tundra is only for the toughest and the most resourceful...it's an unforgiving world and yet it fascinates .
I wrote a poem on the arctic fox which I never posted so I read about the tundra
In Polar tundra the soil is frozen from 25 to a metres downward ..so no trees can grow just moss , heath , algae and lichen
The more southern part of the tundra in Canada e Russia , Scandinavia the upper soil in Summer defrosts and there is more vegetation to sustain animals like the ox , the arctic fox and hare , the snowy owl and lemmings.... and near the coasts polar bears
I love that you made the cold the predator, the stalker ..your closing line is is chilly ..
Some mammoths have been found in the Russian tundra ..
also human bodies have emerged and scientists are very worried that these people died of smallpox ..
.. some 300 million died of the disease in the Arctic ( like when the Spanish infected the Aztec etc )
In extreme cold weather the diseases does not died ..not even if it is frozen .. once thawed it's back in action.
So as you can see the tundra is truly deadly
A beautiful eye catching pic that makes you feel some of that dread your poem speaks of.

compelling post! I love the imagery and presentation as well as the surprise of the AHA in the closing. Thought provoking! Also, good flow and fine phonics in phrasing, especially all the S and M sounds. I enjoyed the opening personification of COLD stalking, thus making the title make sense.
A great entry. Good luck!
Warmly,

What a starkly cold land you wrote about here. You chose a stunning picture to go with your descriptive and well written naani. Best to you in the contest.
