That is so hard to do, saying goodbye. Our grandchildren are so precious that when they live far away those short visits pass too quickly. This is a heartbreaking dribble fiction story. Well done. Sandra xx

Oh, you capture the heartache of this goodbye so well, especially in the last paragraph when Grandma is alone, knowing how much distance now separates her from her granddaughter.
