We know so little about how the brain works and it is so sad that many become homeless and live on the streets without guidance and comfort, a melancholy write of awareness here and a good entry for the contest, love Dolly x

Thank you for your insightful comments. My son has battled mental illness for years, and we, his family have been next to him on this journey. Many who suffer though, are alone. Thanks again for reading.

I think you have written an important poem. What you share about mental health is true and so often it is not appreciated by the masses. Your poem is wonderfully written. Flows well. Great job.

A beautifully sad offering for this contest -- so many have been lost with the decisions made about mental illness over the past decade, it is heartbreaking in many ways. You've done an awesome job here in capturing both the person for a focal point and phrases/descriptions to evoke emotions in your reader - all in keeping great rhyme and rhythm! ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck! ;)

This poem had an impact on me because I know someone with bipolar and it's very heartbreaking to see what she goes through. This poem really captures this feeling.

Poignant--masterful rendition of schizophrenic street people--I used to see them--nowadays most people seemingly talking to themselves are on cell using earbuds--tip-off is they are well-dressed. Nice work.

Thoughtful and insightful. The compassion is there because the author can identify with the woman in the street, as she has lived experience with her own loved ones. The poem is memorable, expressed simply but beautifully. I liked the circular ending with the repetition, as life repeats itself, each day is a repetition of the previous one. Well done.
