You still hear the term 'You drank the kool-aid,' especially with today's societal issues.

I am enjoying this trip down memory land. Thank you for sharing it. You are doing a good job of writing.

Thank you for reviewing and for your comments. Acuttally I've used that pharase about the Kool-Aid myself lately. I don't understand why people are so divided on what they believe to be true.

We all lived through that horrible Jim Jones slaughter. How horrendous that was and a very hard story to believe. How could so many people be taken in by one man, to the point of death? The in vitro fertilization has been a boon to many, there is no disputing that.
Your family was maturing, bit by bit and I'm sure you had your hands and your mind full during those happy times.

Thank you Ralf. Yes, my family always kept things interesting. Actually, they don't live with me, but they still make life interesting. It isn't something I have worry about any more, but I still see all of them throughout the week.

I can just imagine how upset you'd be when no other child came to Connie's party. That was so nice of Diane, though. Children can be such little monsters when they want. And finding out that Connie liked it when people liked to thing Diane was her mother. That really must have hurt. This was another really interesting part in your book, Beth. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Thank you so much Sandra. I so pleased that you are reading my story. I'm writing about the negative and as well as the positive things, I remember. Life is about ups and downs but over all I think I've had great life.

The main line of the story and the backdrop ( the events happened in different countries in that time period) seems loose at first reading, but they are interrelated actually. They exerted influences on each other, the social events and the people in that era. Following the time line, it is meaningful to understand the unfolding story of your family in this certain period.

Thank you for the review. I put current events in to reflect what is the news during the time the story is being written. Maybe it would be better if I included it at the end of the chapter. It might make more sense to new readers. I'm so glad you dropped by.
