Beautiful artwork choice. Your thought is so true. We can find peace in being grateful for what we have. We look for something that soothes the soul. I'd suggest starting with something besides "There is." Something more active. Best of luck in the contest. judi

Very cool. The Bible says Paul had learned to be content in every circumstance - even away from friends in prison. I imagine we can, too, if we make up our minds. This was really smart.

I think the homeless man is more content than a rich man. He understands need and survival. The rich don't.
Your Thanksgiving is coming towards the end of the month. We've already had our day to give special thanks. There are so many blessings from God that we take for granted. I think this is what your poem is about.
The 23rd Psalm begins,
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." I think we can learn a lot from the homeless.
Nicely penned, a great entry for the 20-syllable contest!

A nice poem and an excellent sentiment.
It is an interesting picture that you have chosen for illustration. I like it. I can see there might be gratitude in the "mind" of the tree in the middle of the lake on such a small mound of earth for her roots. Were she a less optomistic tree, she might worry/complain about her lack of space. Instead, she chooses to bloom and enjoy the sun. We should all seek such contentment.
