Very incouraging to someone who needs a leg up in life. It helps remind the reader that they can make a difference in their own life, they have the power. All the have to do is act.

Hi Lisa,
I enjoyed your poem about encouragement. It takes me back.
When I became a Christian back in the mid 70's, and started going to church with my wife, the pianist and choir director soon learned that I could play guitar. Before I knew it, I was leading the Youth Choir, and bringing contemporary Christian music to Sunday morning worship. Of course, the older folks didn't care for it at first. But soon, they came to see the message was there after all. When I was 32 years old, I decided to form a Christian band. We called it "The Potter's Clay", and soon we were the lead group at a local Gospel Night at Westfield School. When the band folded, I continued with my wife and a friend, Linda Cameron. Sometimes we'd take an evening service all by ourselves. This caused me to dig deep. I was a very shy person, always was. Many times, it was just Linda & me. And I had to speak to the congregation between songs a bit. Stressful! But I'm glad I did it. We continued into the 90's. Now, I just play guitar in the worship team. And I miss it terribly since mid-March. This miserable Covid-Schmovid has prevented us from going to church because my wife's lungs are in bad shape.
"You dared! You did!

Of doubts get rid.
To your fears say: "Bye bye."
Don't let them magnify.

That's how to notify
your inner battle cry
you're ready to fly!"

Nicely penned! Just writing this poem, you encourage others.

Cheers,
Kimbob

Thanks for your review. Your background story is a wonderful example of how lives can be enhanced by daring to do something. You are an inspiration. I pray for your wife's health... for both of you to stay safe and well. x

This poem, Please Try, becomes a rallying cry for all those who are sitting on the fence of a big move to leap into the field of dreams and take the bull by the horns.

Nice review, thank you Bill. Taking the bull by the horns always runs the risk of getting trampled or gored, but perhaps we might gain the glory like those agile acrobatic people that were painted in the "bull- leaping fresco" at the Palace of Knossos, Crete, around 1400BC.

A great cheerlead! It's the right thing to do. Encouraging words are scattered throughout your poem and the meaning is pretty clear. You must try, never give up.

A very well-written monorhyme poem about try to do something is much better than just giving up without any attempt to try. There is always a chance to be successful .

    Hello Greyson
I appreciate your reviews of so many of my poems, but you really should try to write different ones for each item you review. I see you have written the exact same thing to other writers as well. You are new to the Fanstory site and that sort of copy-and-paste reviewing is not appreciated as a fair review.
I'm not saying this to be horrible; it is not fair to get reviewing 'money' without reviewing effort.

We never know what we can do unless we really try Lisa and I have been in many battles and fought for my children when they have been duped by companies and won, I am always up for a fight if I think I am in the right, and grabbing every opportunity in life brings rewards, an uplifting poem Lisa, I adored the sentiments here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Lisa May,

I like this positive and optimistic poem. It should be made poster-sized and mounted in every hallway in every school in the country. On the other hand, would anyone read it right now? I can't keep up - are the home again. --sigh--

Anyway, we need the bright, positive folks right now. Thank you!

Thank you for your appreciative comments. I like the sound of one of my poems being made into a poster... but yes, it might just be a waste of paper and be overlooked.

Very nice free form poem.
I particularly like the strong beginning and ending. "You dared, you did," is strategically placed in the middle.

It did not escape my attention that you used the word "pass" in the third stanza. Tell me you were thinking of Trump the rump. I was :)

You are so subversive... i will never be able to see mention of 'ass' (even thinly disguised) without it triggering a gag reflex now. Luckily our language is more British English and we say 'arse'.

I may be subversive but I didn't mean to make you gag. Sorry. Cheers.

    You didn't. Trump did.

I took to the skies, like a kite, I flew very high, thanks to the dare, Jenny. :) Now that I'm up so high, how do I come down? I'm getting dizzy with this playing around. You got yourself a battle cry! A heart poem to make us write high in the sky. Thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you for reviewing, Jose. Did you bump into any clouds while you were up there?
