Bravo. Beautiful in its simplicity. I LOVE that you write this and that I came across it. So These are his last words? Wow.
I'm an Apologetic Christian. I'm on a very difficult spiritual journey as I am a disciple of Christ. I think I was supposed to read this. It's powerful. When He died the sky darkened and there was an earthquake. See, we have faith and don't Need facts and "proof". But so you know, several references are made to these events from secular writers and historians. Even the N.O.A.A. found it that there was an earthquake in Jerusalem around 30-35AD. My point is, we don't "need" facts but WOW, they are there. We just agent taught these things because God is being taken out of our culture. You're considered "dim" if you believe. When the opoosife is true! If ppl just knew the facts. I could run circles around an atheist. but sadly our society thinks they know best. Sorry to ramble :)
So about the piece, Christ and Commits has strong alliteration which really helps it flow. That's why it had such a good sound when read out loud.
PERFECT message in only a few words. Succinct, accurate, beautiful. GREAT job and God bless.

How can we ever forget those words. There has never been a greater sacrifice in this world and this presentation says it all. How poignant the observation.

Good poem for the air poem contest. I had not thought of it in this way and I think this is creative and well put together with both the picture and the writing.

I appreciate the positive review !
It was Jesus Christ or write a poem about when our pets take their last breath .. hold their paw so they know they are not alone..
Its sad but often , we owners have to find the courage to put our ailing pets to sleep.
Keep safe !

I see many poems of this type on the site, yet the way you frame yours brings a different perspective. The word commits gives Christ's act one of service and less of victim hood, which I really love.

you are the first to see this important aspect .
In all honesty , I had not .. I just used Christ?s exact wording ..

This short poem succinctly depicts Christ's death on the cross. It also clearly points out how he has "Committed" His spirit to His father. I really appreciate your notes which give us further clarification.
