I can understand that, a poem concerning what makes you happy, and of course we had lots of cats over the years, and they were always a blessing, as yours is to you, great variation on the different size stanzas, with some thyme variation in an articulate work, well done, blessings Roy

This is poignant and well written, with a marvelously humorous ending, which although is a sad commentary of the shenanigans that go on in relationships these days, is said in a non-threatening funny way so that we can laugh and make light of it rather than choose to complain about it.
The rhyme sequence and choice of rhymes are top-notch. The flow and meter work well. I love the examples given on how you and your cat negotiate the differences between the two of you, and how you make reference to the idea that we can all learn from our closeness with our companion pets how to behave toward others in similar situations, (to the degree that this is possible, of course). Wonderfully enjoyable to read, thank you for sharing your talented work.
