For Jannypan: In Memory of Tim
by Mary Kay Bonfante

Hello, Mary Kay,

What a beautiful poem in Tim's memory. I'm sure Jan is going to love it. I know Jan through fanstory. She has always being kind to me. I knew about her brother's death but I didn't know it was brain cancer, poor Tim and Jan. I have a brother I love very much, I can imagine how painful must be to lose a brother.

Well done!

Thank you, Gypsy, for your kind and empathetic review of my poem for Jan. I'm glad you know her. Yes, she really did love it and she expressed that to me, most beautifully. I had lost a brother also, back in 2005, and it is very painful. Not everyone has such close family ties, but for those of us who do, loss is very hard. Brain cancer is a hard way to go, and she stood by him, which was so very loving. God bless you, Gypsy.

Your words are encouraging and I send prayers to our sister poet. She is a dedicated sister to her brother. "Tis ours to only keep the faith" is a wonderful line that reminds all of us to keep our faith. She have written a grief poem that can help many in addition to Jannypan.

hello
what a nice thing to do for a fellow memeber. I think the comments were, in some ways, more powerful than the poem.
Loss is such a personal thing, I tend not to comment on peoms of bereavement.

A well written, very empathetic and beautiful prayer for Tim's lost. It's also wonderfully heartfelt throughout its syllables counting and organized structural format. I have like it so much, indeed! Let's pray for Tim!

Thank you so much, Tony my friend, for your lovely, exceptional and touching six-star review of my poem. I deeply appreciate your very thoughtful comments and your prayers. May God bless your family and keep you all safe, especially during this difficult time, when the world has become a very strange place, indeed. "Be strong and very courageous," as the Lord said to Joshua. - Mary Kay

Excuse me for my delay but my vivacious gradchildren take most of my time away helping them with their on line teaching lessons so at the end of the day you feel completely worn out. I hope your family is getting well on, little by little. I wish you so much blessed love and praying grace and may your Christmas be full of hoped joy and blessings! Tony

Of course, Tony, no apology is necessary! Your dear grandchildren sound so delightful. I wish I could borrow them, for a day or two ;-) May God always bless them, and bless you also, for being an active and involved Grandpa (is it "Noni" in Italian?). Their parents must be so grateful for your help, without which they probably couldn't go to work, or accomplish other important activities. I'm sure it's also keeping you young!
I have amazing memories of my own grandparents, especially on my mother's side (the Italian side), because they helped to raise me, as you are doing with your grandchildren. Holding hands, playing games, practicing spelling, having dinner, so many wonderful things.
Thank you for your kind and loving wishes. I also pray for God to give you and your family abundant grace, mercy and peace! Have a beautiful, joyful Christmas with your whole family, and may God keep you all healthy and safe throughout the New Year, in the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen! - Mary Kay

Breathtaking! Lovely form--brilliant name--Lake's Reflection! (the poetic version of a palindrome; e.g. HANNAH) Heartfelt and elegant tribute. Poignant backstory beautifully rendered. Condolences to Jan; congrats to you for this fine piece.

A very well-written poem in sympathy for Jan who recently lost her brother who she cared for. If is one of those things that happen to us that we have no control over but we still feel heart broken.

God bless you, Mary Kaye. I think you have a big open heart for doing this dedication for Jannypan. Happy holidays to you and your family.

I liked these lines best of all in your dedicating poem:

"We know your grief's beyond your pow'r to tell;
Yet God has counted every tear you've shed."

Bless you Bob

Your poem is inspirational and compassionate. The pattern you've created makes the poem flow well and makes it easy to read. I'm not a poet (yet), but I plan to experiment using the A/B/C/D/D/C/B/A form. Your letter to Jannypan was warm, heartfelt, and comforting. Thank you for your expression of love to a fellow FS member.
