I loved the picture you created to go with your poem. A non-essential toy shop? Oh no! Do not tell my kids that - lol. Oh how different Christmas will be this year. May you and your family stay healthy and well this holiday season.

As Siskel & Ebert once said... two thumbs up. I really like the signage. Anytime a submission makes me chuckle - it gets my approval. Good luck to you in the contest.

Dear Mystery Writer,

This post made me laugh out loud! I liked the picture right away and then the poem clinched it. Who would have thought that this pandemic would even affect Santa?!! Thanks for the smile! Good luck!

Hey, Robyn, hello. Thank you for the fantastic review. Sometimes it seems I have more fun just creating the pictures. Lol. I dearly appreciate the generous stars and good luck wishes. I'm glad you had a chuckle at this silliness. Have yourself a wonderful weekend.

You really should consider sharing some of your content (images) over at FanArt - I know others would get a kick out of using them. They are so unique and fun.

Just make sure all the parts are copyright-free. I say go for it! (You might could even sell some!)

I need to check into that. I was wondering if you pay for images from a site, if that gives your rights to use it any way you want...even commercially. There's 6 different pictures in this one that I grabbed from Google Images. I made the signs and shading myself. I thought about Fanart but not sure about the copyright stuff. It's no longer their picture if I manipulate it and mix it with other things to come up with my own pic but sure wouldn't want to get sued over it. Haha. I'll have to check into that, about the copyright if you pay to use someone's images. For now, I say if it's in Google Images, (that's free)it's game. Lol. We'll see.

    Thank you again, Robyn.

Well, that wouldn't be QUITE correct. *smile* BUT there are tons of places online where you can get free images -- one that comes to mind is Unsplash - but you can also look up 'feee images' for more sites.

I'll be sure to do that. Thanks again, R.

I can see this being a problem at the North Pole! Very cleverly done! I love the photo too. Being new to this site, I'm learning about different types of writing. It's great to see examples such as this.
