I was looking over the poems and I read this one which is true.
Do you know I bought a book by Dummies that was about how to declutter your home. It was very informational and it works too.
I have this group of cups that was given to me over the use and I mentioned them to my son, since they are out for people to see, and he said have you ever thought about USING SOME? I looked at him and said no, they are too cute and they are a gift that I just want to look at.
Last week I took one, a Christmas one, to use.
I enjoy your poem and good luck in the contest.

Thank you for this stellar review...I'm not alone in my "hobby" I've been told. I'll bet those cups are beautiful, enjoy them...I had a lot of fun with my animated pony! Lol. Thanks again for reading my poem. :)

A very well-written poem about your imperfect desire to restore imperfect items that you can get for free to restore and make them look like new or at least in working condition.

As it is said that the road to perfection is riddled with many obstacles! If you are happy with yourself and take pleasure in doing things you like, you have won the battle. I liked the way you have penned these lines. Good luck in the contest. Merry Christmas!

I like the humor you put in this poem. Although I don't collect other people's junk, I don't throw out my own so the end result is the same for your kids and mine. Best wishes in the contest!

Very cute poem you got my vote:)
It's a strong compulsion that's hard to control,
but when I see a free pile, it speaks to my soul.
My kids gave up on me a long time ago,
they know they'll be loading up things people throw.'

I like this write and enjoyed the complete presentation with the picture as well as your writing. My dad always loved going to flea markets and even the dump to look for treasure.

Absolutely wonderful contest entry that all readers will be able to relate to. I think that the hunt for treasure is built into the hearts of human beings. "The kingdom of heaven in like a treasure ...." Just need to burn the chaff and keep the gold, silver, and precious stones!
Well done!

Many people have found significant treasure. So the chase is on!!

Thank you for reading my poem. I'm glad I'm not alone, and I'm still waiting to find that rare painting or expensive artifact. Thanks again for reading. :)

Very nice and part of my life after helping try to make sense of my recently deceased cousin's collection. There were actually treasures in there. Yours is also a treasure. I am no poet but I enjoyed the light tone and truth of your poem. I do, however, suspect there are a few places that the rhythm falters. Best wishes for this delightful work.

I'm very positive that the rhythm is off in places..lol. That's just the way I roll when I write. It's all true by the way..even the pony! Thanks for reading. :)
