Oh, but I do remember the Reagan Days. I left the Democrat Party for the independent. Got to agree. Just because they marry off no sign they are gone. LOL. Lovely picture. I have performed several weddings and they always are beautiful and filled with joy.
As always, another good post.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I'm an Independent too but I did vote for Reagan. Things have changes quite a bit since those days.

Hi Beth, so a lot happened with your family and the world in 1984. A year I remember for a whole lot of other reasons. I liked how you described a lovely wedding only to go on how the groom changed his ways after the wedding. Did they stay married? Oh don't tell me, I know I will know that sooner or later.
In 1984 my husband and I with our little daughter of 3 years stayed in Bangkok, Thailand, for 6 months. My airline had stationed me there for that period. It was lovely.
I love your story and I'm looking forward to reading on. Ulla:)))

Thank you for the review and comments. I might as well tell they were married for nine years. They really weren't right for each other and it probably should have ended sooner. You've seen a lot of the world. I'm sure Thailand is interesting. Rebecca who writes the Nellie Jo story lives in Thailand but you probably knew that.

Yes, I do know that Rebecca lives in Thailand.

It sounds like you had a busy, stressful summer between the wedding and the fair.
Their marriage seems to have gotten off to a rocky start. Hopefully they'll be able to work out their differences soon. That was funny about Connie, smart little girl, isn't she, lol. I used to take a walkman to work with me so I could have music while I cleaned. My boss didn't like the idea at first, but seeing how I was getting my rooms done in record time he quickly agreed. Your story is well-written, interesting start to finish. I did find one part a little confusing, maybe it's just me.

They only spent two nights with us. The day they went to the Fair, they took Connie went them. They went back by Newton, so Glen could meet Mom and Dad. I look forward to reading more.

Thank you for the review and comment. Carol and Glen cam to our house the the second day they were married so they could go to the World Far. When the went to the fair, Connie went with them. After two night at our house, they went back to Georgia but before they went back they went to visit my Mom and Dad who lived in Newton, Ms,I should have said they took Connie with them.

No wonder we get old so quickly. LOL My this was a very busy time for you and your family. Interesting too. I assume this is a picture of the wedded couple at the wedding? You didn't say, but he has a blue Carnation and there is a blue candle and you said the colors of the wedding was blue and white. Well done Beth. Nancy:)

That was a really excellent part of your story, Beth. The mullet hairstyles, I'd never heard of it before, but it's come back into fashion now! My grandson is a genius with the rubic cube. He's autistic, and dyslexic and goes to a special needs school. The headmaster had Eric come on the stage and show all the other children how quick he was at doing it. He messed it up, and then handed it to Eric. The headmaster had a stopwatch and timed him. It took Eric 40 seconds, his record. They say that when someone is slow in one area, they pick up at another. Eric is amazing at algorithm's. He's my hero. :)) I really enjoyed this part, and the wedding. Well done, Beth! :)) Sandra xxx

I remember in the other stories you wrote for your grandson about how proud of him you were. He sounds like a neat kid and I know you are probably his favorite person. Thank you for the review. Those rubic cubes are complicated. I'm amazed at how gifted some of the autistic children are.

I once again enjoyed reading. I am worried about Carol's wedding. I hope it worked out well and the couple were able to solve their differences.

The outhside world didn't stand still in 1984. (Outside???)

Thank you for the review and comments. Carol didn't make the perfect choice for her personality. They did stay together for nine years though.
