I like it very much. A picture of true love, two hearts, joined together, faithful to each other.
"I will cherish the day we wed
on your heart I will not dare tred." Wonder if this should be "tread"?

I know nothing about the rules of poetry, but I do know what I enjoy. Your words took me back to a happier time and I remembered how love used to be. It now lives as memories within my heart, but it was a pleasure to remember. Thank you for sharing. Smiles and wishing you a great New Year.

A beautiful love poem full of soft luscious language that fills you with that hope of new love. I really enjoyed reading your poem. It is well crafted and I cannot offer any notes to improve it.

I like nothing better than a man who expresses his feelings. You have written an eloquent poem with relatable ideas of how your love would look. I wonder if you set aside this writing and later, that love you wanted was yours.

A very well-written Rogers refrain about pleading the girl of your choice to stay with you where you can be together always on the sandy shores building castles together with the child you will have.

Very well written! I enjoyed reading it and then reading it aloud. It sounds great both ways. Your description of the surf and turf makes me want to head to the ocean, but since we're not allowed to go anywhere, I guess I'll stay put. Great poem!

Love the way you swing that blade, cutting precisely into the reader, finding this write a super effort compelling line structuring throughout. I didn't feel the closure that much, warning more I guess. All views stated in my opinion.

You did a great job with the Roger's Refrain and you followed the refrain beautifully! And I like your creative approach to use this form for a marriage proposal.

You've done a great job of meeting this challenge! I enjoyed the rhythm and rhyme. It flowed easily and painted a lovely and romantic scenario. Building sand castles and watching your child play on the sand...just beautiful. I wrote about a relationship as well - between a giraffe and a zebra. Not romantic - but whimsical. lol

Hi Jim. Good to see you are right back at it. This is a great way to start off the New Year:

"When Sun rays warm the sandy shore
Castles of sand that you'd adore
I'd build complete with parquet floors
Our child can crawl on sandy shores."

Take care my friend. Bob
