Nicely done. We have huge thunderstorms. I'm from Ca and we didn't have many big storms, so when we were in our first in FL we were amazed at how loud the thunder was and how hard it rained. I hope you do well in the contest.

Really Nice Poem. I really like the imagery it built. Just a suggestion, all of your lines are 7 syllables except lines 1,2,3,5 and 11. I would suggest editing the lines if possible to fit the 7 syllables as it would produce a good steady rhythm for the poem. I enjoyed your poem.
