You had an a very interesting life.
I'm glad you decided not get too invoked with Glen. And I am confused, did you take the requirement plan that Chevron offered you.

Thank you Gert for the review and comments. Yes, my husband did take the retirement plan and he invested the money wisely. We did just fine. I was worried for nothing. I was glad my daughter came back from Australia.

Enthralling! Never a dull moment. At least Don hasn't used up another of the lives he has on credit extended by his fellow tomcats.
So glad, as you surely were, that Christi broke up with "Dick." One down, one to go. Fine work.

At forty-six [COMMA] I was starting to have some health problems

I had a D&C (Dilation and Curettage) once that involved an overnight stay in the hospital when I became extremely anemic.

There was also a life insurance on you, which would decrease as you aged.

It's too bad your daughter broke up with her Australia boyfriend. But it's wise to do so. He didn't sound like a good future husband. I will find out later in your book whether she found someone better.

I remembered about the CD rate in 1980's. I was a poor student then and just came to this country so I didn't get any. I don't know whether it ever will be that high again. We are lucky if it is not negative.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I was relieved that Christi didn't marry and stay in Australia. The CD rates are terrible now. It is hard to know what it is safe to invest in. You sure don't make anything on CDs.

He never thought about you and what magic you'll have to work to keep the house running. Sometimes man has only their comfort at heart leaving the poor wife's to deal with the reality of life.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. Actually I was worried for nothing. We made it just fine and would have even if I'd quit work. He was wise to invest the money. We came out better than we would have if he'd kept working. He was nine years older than I was, so it was my choice to keep working.

Thank you, Beth, for this glimpse into the world you shared with your late husband. I was sorry to read about the difficulties Christie encountered, in Australia, but heartened that she took steps she felt necessary to ensure a healthier and happier future. I'll look forward to future installments. Happy writing.

Thank you Lyn, I really appreciate the review and comments. She never regretted the experience of getting the chance to see Australia. I was glad she didn't decide to live there.
