Hello JLR,
It's a nice Epitaph related to pet dog - Fergus, meeting the desired norms, having humorous and poetic touches from the beginning to the bottom, and beautifully depicting its theme.
Picture enhances depth and beauty of the theme.
Good Luck!

You chose the perfect image to accompany your poetic epitaph. The image drew me in and your humor was the crowning glory to this poem. I enjoyed the humor. Don

What a cool way to do an epitaph, with your dog. I like your rhyming pattern. I like the word gumption, too. Your ending is nice, "man we had fun'. Keep it up

If that is an actual picture of Fergus, he looks like a lot of fun. He looks like he is ready for whatever activity you put in front of him. If your story is true, I am sorry for your loss, but you've written a beautiful and creative tribute. Fergus, you're remembered. Best wishes in the contest.

It sounds like a hunting dog who couldn't get used to the gun shoots. I don't have a dog or cat but I can see he is a fun dog to have.

You need to change this to Poetry from a humorous fiction.

Well done.

This epitaph for Fergus captures a cute pup with a good sense of fashion. Unlike us, Fergus and other like him will run their race before us.

Poor Fergus. I love his buggy eyes. I would run, too, if
I heard the crack of a gun. I can only imagine that you
and ole Fergus had fun together. Good luck in the
epithet contest.

Are you sure he isn;'t in congress. I thought I saw him on TV the other day. He has a rather grim expression but he does look as though he would fear anything. THe epitaph is well written. Good luck in the contest.
