Congratulations on winning the contest. This is a sweet poem from the viewpoint of an older sister helping mom out, while taking care of er younger sister.
Nicely rhymed with strong meter.

Congratulations, Beth! This is a lovely poem of the big sister looking after her sibling. Big sister's do like to play mum, and when they have a real baby to look after, it's much better than playing mum with a doll. I really enjoyed reading this one, my friend. Sorry I've been missing a while. My shingles have kept me from sitting down too long. They are just so painful. Have a lovely week! :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I'm so sorry to learn you've had shingles. I never had this but I know from friends how painful this is. I hope you are recovering.

You really do not want them, Beth. This is my second time. I'm having an injection once this lot is over to prevent me having them again! xxxx

A very well-written heartfelt poem about the older child who always become mom's biggest helper and keep siblings busy while mom do things that are helping the family.

Thank you so much for the review and comment. My older daughter was a life saver for me. She enjoyed being my little helper for a while. Not so much, however when the little sister got big enough to be demanding. LOL

As I read this I saw my six year old grand son doting on his two year old brother, I was four years older than my brother and don't remember ever doting on him that way. Never thought of that until your poem prompted me.

I couldn't be mom's helper in that way since I didn't have siblings but my oldest child fit the profile. I think she enjoyed it ast first but as time wen on she felt a bit used. She and her youner sister aren't that close now but she and one who came along when she was twelve are very close. Thanks for the review.

The author's words are descriptive, interesting and creative. The author's
poem flows and connects well. The artwork is perfect and compliments
both the theme and words of this poem.

This poem, Mom's Helper, has a sonnet-like set up and reflects the pride one has in her ability to help her mom care for the little sister. Remember when we all wanted to be seen as a grown-up?

Thanks for the review and comments. I had a daughter who was my little helper until it got to be no fun any more.

What a sweet poem and a perfect picture to match it. Great rhyming, flows smoothly, and paints an interesting picture in one's mind. Sisters are so special.

This presentation with the sweet children and your write is lovely. It is a good poem for older siblings and with just a bit of humor in the end. Nice.
