Congratulations on winning the contest. This is a sweet poem from the viewpoint of an older sister helping mom out, while taking care of er younger sister.
Nicely rhymed with strong meter.

Congratulations, Beth! This is a lovely poem of the big sister looking after her sibling. Big sister's do like to play mum, and when they have a real baby to look after, it's much better than playing mum with a doll. I really enjoyed reading this one, my friend. Congratulations, Beth! This is a lovely poem of the big sister looking after her sibling. Big sister's do like to play mum, and when they have a real baby to look after, it's much better than playing mum with a doll. I really enjoyed reading this one, my friend. Thank you so much for the review and comment. My older daughter was a life saver for me. She enjoyed being my little helper for a while. Not so much, however when the little sister got big enough to be demanding. LOL

As I read this I saw my six year old grand son doting on his two year old brother, I was four years older than my brother and don't remember ever doting on him that way. Never thought of that until your poem prompted me.

I couldn't be mom's helper in that way since I didn't have siblings but my oldest child fit the profile. I think she enjoyed it ast first but as time wen on she felt a bit used. She and her youner sister aren't that close now but she and one who came along when she was twelve are very close. Thanks for the review.
