This poem really details what the true meaning of life is which is family. The way you conveyed your message in this poem so beautifully is a real testament to the type of poet you are. Exceptional!

Thank you, I'm so glad you liked it, and I thank you for these wonderful stars. :)

Yes you are on the right track in uncovering what the meaning of life is. It makes me wonder, however, what if one didn't have a family on their side that helped them and nurtured them?
Because some just don't have that luxury!
I think the meaning of life is deeper than family but it's a good start;-)
The yellow is very bright to the eyes, almost to the painful point when they start watering. I would definitely consider changing that to a more subtle tone of yellow or another subtle color altogether!
Good luck in the contest!
Thank you for sharing and many blessings to you and your family;-)

I wanted to explain more but there was a line limit. Family doesn't just mean blood relatives. It can be anyone who cares for you, can maybe teach you things, friends, teachers, basically the family of man. My point is that you need to have a caring connection to someone or life has no meaning. I truly believe that. Thanks for reading. :)

I do so agree with that ma'am and you are so right;-) That's what needed to be clear in your poem because this is the winning poem right here!

Yes - very wise words, and thoughtful ones. The poem flows smoothly with appropriate rhyme, rhythm and metre. I enjoyed its straightforward philosophy. Good wishes for the contest.

Interesting.
I never thought of life this way. Your view about life is quite amazing. Family keeps us and makes us who we are.
Had to think of those who are not privilege to have one. I mean orphans or abandoned children. Probably is beyond the immediate family.
Best of luck

I really do believe family is the meaning of life. You could be king of the world, have all the money in the world but without someone you love to share it with, what does it mean? Thanks for this great review. :)

This is a hopeful message. The meaning of life? This could be a great topic of discussion. Some readers would sadly have no meaning to their life if it depended upon family. This is a good eye- opener for the reader to reflect upon cause for gratitude.

Yes ..it's not just the family you're born into, but those who love and support you despite blood ties. Thanks so much for reading. :)

This poem should be listed as Family poetry. I like it's sunny disposition. Some people are not lucky enough to be blessed with good families. I think it's important to note that any family matters here, by blood or by choice family. Thanks for sharing

You are 100% right! Blood ties aren't as important as love ties. Anyone you care about could be family. Thanks so much for reading. :)

I love the definition you gave to the meaning of life: "
Then hopefully the kindness and love we receive
from family, we'll pass on to others in need.
A heart that is nurtured, will nurture in turn,
it's the love of our families, that makes this world churn." Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

The theme of your poem is nicely summarized in your opening couplet. I agree wholeheartedly with what you're saying. Your poem is marred only by your not sticking to the AABB rhyme pattern in your last stanza.

Thank you for this nice review. I play fast and loose with rhyme patterns a lot...lol. I'm glad it resonated with you though. :)

Some of the things I really like about your poem are: the cadence and flow, the rhyming and the message. You did meet the requirements for the contest.
