This is such a well-told, smooth-flowing poem/story, when I finished reading, I realized every word was so subtly incorporated into the narrative, it was completely unnoticeable. This piece flowed right off the tongue. It pulled you in and let you feel the heartacke and then the relieve from it. It tells the reader you can move on that there is more to life than pain.

That's a lovely poem composed of the required words. How cool to use the soda bottle as a means of catharsis and healing from the broken relationship. And someday, somewhere those broken pieces will be smooth, beautiful sea glass. Best wishes in the contest!

Many people can relate to having a broken heart, it helps when you let go.
