Excellent entry for the Spiritual writing prompt contest. You fulfilled the rules of writing a poem of spiritual in nature.
I really like the meter and rhyme. It's a great interpretation of faith in God.

A very pretty poem. It is well -written. I like that it rhymes. It shows how we need the Lord more often than a prayer at bedtime. I. myself, talk to God off and on all day long.

What a beautiful and eloquent poem of praise for God. I really love this and will put it in my bookcase. I particularly like the last verse - this part is so poetic:
As the velvet darkness settles
and the silver moon appears,
then a million stars still sparkle
as they have ten thousand years.
And the last part is so comforting:
I'm aware that God's still watching
o'er his children from above.
As I slumber, He'll protect me,
safely sheltered in His love.

That is a beautiful poem, very easy to read, good rhyming and contains such great truth. I like the title, Through the Day With God. When we spend time with Him in the morning, He will be with us through the day.
