Hey, Craig,

I got to read this poem too, a little late, but I enjoyed.

A potent sentiment expressed in a lead by example tone.

A lot of people have a 'I want what you have' sort of drive. I see it in kids at a young age, where they initially squabble over the same toy, not because it's the best toy, but because one kid wanted to play with it, and that ups the appeal of the toy. The 'I want what you have' Envy.

Often times, I try to drive home the gratitude for what we have over thinking too much about what others have. My daughter doesn't always get it, understanding that if you appreciate what you have, then it doesn't matter what everyone else has.

Strong presentation, adds a nostalgic warmth to wise words.

Congrats on your recognitions for this thought-provoking four-liner on the theme of envy for what you don't have vs gratitude for what you do. Well done. Cheers. LIZ

Me too! What a neat poem you have composed here my friend. I happen to believe gratitude is something we could use a lot more of these days and I like that you are practicing this positive philosophy. Congratulations on having your poem recognized in this contest. I liked it a lot. I might have missed it altogether had it not won a prize... so I am grateful too.

Thanks for the kind words and good wishes, Pam. The photo, I'm afraid, is, like its owner, getting a bit long in the tooth. It was taken probably 6-8 years ago. Cheers, Craig

A very well-written four line poem about finding peace and forget about envy against others. Be grateful to God for whatever we have each day.

This four-line poem, Gratitude, has the proper formatting and captures that sense of thankfulness for what God has seen fit to bestow.
