Oh, the pain and agony some children suffer through their growing up years. Sometimes their unhappiness is of their own doing, but they do not see it that way. Eventually everything works out.

I think we all probably go through some unhappy moments as teenagers. It was all bad but I remember having times controlling my own emotions. As long as I could get away from everyone with a good book, I was happy.

Dear Beth, This chapter has more ups and downs emotionally, (hormones Only adding to the problems, )
than any other you have ever written. I wanted to know if all the families in your area, had as many problems as yours? Certainly your church friends would have confided.

Suzanna, I think every family has as many problems as mine. Just thinking back, I feel like I've always been pretty happy. When try to remember what happened the more dramatic things that stand out are what wasn't perfect. I think I may be giving the wrong impression because I feel like I've had an ideal life but it doesn't sound like it by what I'm writing. I think the warm fussies would be boring. I'll bet anyone trying to remember certain years would find the bad stuff more interesting. Don't tell me you never had anything go wrong.

Dear Beth, In my 82 years of living, I have had many tragedies in my life. I already shared that when our place burned, we were never able to return. Sadder still
knowing that both my children have died before me, leaves few to mourn my passing.

I am sorry Suzanna. Not about your age because I'm a year older than you but it had to be hard to lose your children. The only one I've lost was still a baby. However two of living children have severe heart problems so we never know what may happen.
    That care my friend,
You don't want to leave any time soon.

Yes, Beth, that is a very painful experience. I have know girls who would come between good friend on purpose just to see if they could cause trouble. I should say I knew two. One was a girl the other a woman. A sister-in-law who thrived on that scenario. Good job. Nancy:)

Thank you for the review and comment. There is always someone like that and it often has to do with resentment or jealously. I 've worked with women who would stab you in the back

More good reading and not the least because it is all true. A few spags and suggestions. Well done. Either ...which we had been introduced to [us]

Nothing is ever perfect and as the years go by we encounter various snags that take our full attention. With a large family, there is always something. You experienced that in spades, but it seems you were always aware and ready to cope. Your children were most fortunate to have you two as parents.

Thank you so much Ralf for the review and comment and for picking up on the spags. You are so right. There has never been a moment when as my husband used to say "all the ducks where in a row. Somehow, more of the things that were going wrong stand out looking back than the good things. I was happy in spite of the problems. Evan and I faced whatever happened and worked around it. All in all , life was good.

A lot is happening with the girls emotionally wise. I can't imagine what this is putting you through. I do hope it resolves itself soon. I'm glad the hormone therapy worked for you. Your chapter is well-written, interesting. Like always, I look forward to reading more.

Hi Beth, as always, I'm enjoying reading your story about your married life and raising your four children. It's fascinating to say the least. It's also very well written. All the best. Ulla:)))

Yes, girls are very good at social things, but equally good at isolating people, my elder child had an episode where her friends pushed her away, and although she wasn't capable of that herself, she quickly said, not doubting her own social skills, sha declared, "I'll make new ones" I've always been proud of her, such character, not from me, but from her mum, oh and the friends came back, but with reduced credibility, I'm sure Connie would be OK, learning wisdom the hard way, beautifully written, oh the joys of raising children, well done Beth, blessings Roy

We had three girls and three boys and during the times of the female thing, the boys and I made excuses to get out of the way and go somewhere either fishing or hiking. My Mary was much like you and could handle the thing very well.
Growling tough sometimes. LOL.
Good one Beth.
