Dear Beth, I am presuming that the picture of the dog that you posted with this chapter, is the same breed as your notorious Kokomo. The last lines of this chapter we're quite intriguing. If Kokomo so terrorized all your visitors, why did they say nothing? Did he terrorize all the people that were friends too?

    Yes Kokomo looked just like that dog. He terrorized our own family at times and people said plenty. He didn't like Kimberly at all. She said we ought to have him put to sleep, but he didn't keep her for slipping over at night when we were asleep and trying go into Don's room through his back window. LOL

It does take a while to settle in and get used to new neighbors and friends that are a part of a move. All the new things you encounter are quite manageable, except for the dog. The snow must have presented a bit of a challenge, yet also a bit of fun. Did I miss something? I'm wondering about your property in Mississippi, did you sell it? Have I forgotten?

    No we we still have it. Now that we've moved we rent it out for a while. I will be writing more about it later. You haven't missed anything.

I'm so glad you love your new home. That the kids are fine. Hopefully Christi will control her jealously. Himalayan are beautiful cats. I had a pup who survived parvo he seemed more aggressive afterward. Your chapter is well-written, very interesting, I look forward to reading more.

    Thank you so much for the review and nice comment. I do believe the parvo did something to this dog. He didn't ever act exactly right but then I seen other Spitz dogs and were temperamental. Beth

We've had four dogs but only had had one who was a "nipper" if someone gave our girls a hug, unless we got to her first, she would be give the offending "hugger" a nip on the leg, there were a few "."hurt" expressions, and a quick apology from us. Well done Beth, blessings Roy
Typo from (Early the) twenties. The early? 2 until the road (were) cleared. Was?
3. If the(y) turned just right...4: the maker (of) the little Debbie products.

    Thank you for the review and comments. I had a chihuahua later who with bit anyone who dared to hug a family member. This one would bit just because they were there. Even if he could get too them he scare them. Thanks for seeing the errors. I caught a few earlier.

Captivating, as always--another tale of tumult, this time with pets vs kids--Chilling ending! Fingers crossed re Don and Kimberly--hope Christi grows up!

There was a place in the back of the lot where you [come ???] put a garden

Kids [OMIT COMMA] from the Georgia subdivision [OMIT COMMA] had made a walking path across our lot

Gloria was a stay-AT-home mom.

ranging in age from early [OMIT: THE] twenties to around six.

snowstorm (one word)

we stayed home until the [road=>ROADS] were cleared.

for a quarter [omit: OF A] mile.

curtly=>CURLY hair

viscous=>VICIOUS

Even [as=>WHEN HE WAS] a young pup, we couldn't make quick moves around him, or he would snap at us.

Unfortunately, no one in the family [OMIT COMMA] knew enough about dogs [OMIT COMMA] to know how to properly train them.

Hi Beth, this is another great chapter. I always look forward to them. A lot of things are happening in this one. I found a couple of things:
There was a place in the back of the lot where you come put a garden, = There was a place . . . where you wanted to put a garden,
If the turned just right they could coast for a quarter of a mile. = If they turned just right ...
fear in the heart of all visitors to home for the next eighteen years. = fear in the heart ... to come for the next eighteen years.
Looking forward to what's next. Ulla:)))

Your memories really do read like a novel, since there is so much going on and the characters are so interesting. And now, in addition to your children, you have a dog that sounds like a real character too.
You have included just enough information describing your new property and neighbours without crossing the line of too much detail.
There are just a couple of very small typos:
where you come put a garden, (I think a word is missing)
they were Mormons. and that they had six children. ranging in age from... (random periods)
until the road were cleared. (road was cleared, or roads were cleared.)
Thank you for continuing to share your story.

Some dogs are very territorial. I was warned about our Dachshund when he was a puppy to be sure to socialize him with other animals and humans because they can be territorial. Unfortunately he now loves everybody, but not everybody loves him and he doesn't understand that. LOl I enjoyed reading.

    Thanks for the review and comments. I think that this kind of dog that looks sweet but is a holy terror is just a trait of the breed. Some may be trained to act differently. Mine never was.
