Such a fun story! I really liked it and was surprised at the end. So I'm assuming mission accomplished! if I were going to suggest anything to change, I would look at the phrase snoring sleepiness. I think just snoring would work better. Of course you'd have to add another word somewhere.

With the picture you would think this would be about human abduction. This shows how a mother, even a cat, will do to resucue her baby. How did she know what house the kitten was in? Did she find it be scent?
