A tribute to farming here in your sonnet, planting on a huge scale and the farmers rely on the crops to make a living. I always thought (ploughing was spelt like this) maybe you should check the spelling? Good luck with the contest, your sonnet is in metre with good end rhymes, love Dolly x

Hi, Dolly. I truly appreciate your review of my sonnet. ?Plough? is the British spelling of the word. I used the shorter American version.

What a wonderful sonnet written as a tribute to farmers for all times. My dad used to tell us about what it was like to be holding those plowshares behind the mule when he was growing up. One of his happiest days was when the man he worked for bought a tractor. Good luck in the contest.
