This funny animal 5-7-5, Zebra Crossing Saves Life, has the right set up and notes that a chance crossing one oneherd saves the individual creature from a painful fate. Nice.

Yes this was one lucky warthog ..bless those two zebras.

I know the wild dogs have to eat but being eaten alive is something I would not wish to happen even to my worse enemy.

Glad you appreciated the humour linked to city zebra crossings .. they too save lives ( biggrin)

    Keep safe Bill Schott.

PS: Does you avatar depict one of those sea creatures that dwell in the depths of the ocean ??..

    spooky indeed!

Your warthog apparently made friends in strange places even with the prison-garbed zebra LOL

Great new info you shared in your note, but gruesome thought of being eaten alive.

Good luck in the voting.

I think the worse killing in saw was of an adult deer .. the dogs just kept on snapping at it from all sides ( that?s how they exhausted their prey) then as it collapsed the pack started to eat at the lower part .. a few seconds after one dog tore out the baby it was carrying .. and the mamma was just helpless and watched it eat her baby while the others were biting and eating her from the hindquarters .. I switched video but it was still alive ... gruesome ..

There is a wildlife channel I watch that broadcasts in real time from a reserve in South Africa .. it?s called WildEarth .. they transmit everyday from sunrise to midday .. and from sunset for an hour or so ..

the hottest part of the day they return to their camp where they live ..

during the transmission the safari guides tell you lots about the fauna and flora they are filming .. it?s like being there with them ..

You should check it out just punch in :

WildEarth 11 th March sunrise .. or sunset ..

What a fortunate warthog this was. I suppose a teist of fate, in this case a couple of zebras, can change the course of one's life. Good write, and all the best to you.

Yes , better killed by a lion than being eaten alive by wild dogs ..

I hope you got my witty title?

Zebra crossings save our lives from traffic just like these two zebras crossing roads saved this lucky warthog..

very beautiful and what shots from a camera from ones getting eaten
so creative and heart felt
you brought this to life with well chosen words with the story line
very believable with the photo in your well penned poem
I hope for the best in the contest

Thanks for reviewing my entry .. well the warthog would have had a gruesome death had it not been for the two zebras

I hope you read the notes I provided below ..
