Instead of "ridiculous absorbent fee" I think you mean "exorbitant".

What did happen? Did it work because he died? I hope so, he or she was whinny and clingy. The reader can easily see why they were dumped. The form and rhyme scheme is very good and the story understandable.
I recommend adding a clearer ending.
But this is a good entry as is.
