This poem is exceptional. The way you describe your love for writing is a sentiment that I'm sure many writers on fanstory feel as well. Thank you for sharing such a delightful poem with us.

Yes, these words we write, they are indeed our treasure. And sometimes we just write for the pleasure it brings - or for the relief from pain. Your poem is very good, very well-written, and many will fully identify.

This is a beautiful tribute to the art of writing and how it makes you feel. That fact that you enjoy it is the very best reason of all to keep writing! Its amazing that you've kept all your childhood poetry

I started at an early age,
my blank notebook, I filled each page.
With rhymes, that from my heart would spill,
these fledgling poems, I have them still.
I'm not sure what compels me so,
but I must write, this much I know.
And I am grateful every time,
that I touch people with my rhyme.

Thank you for reading my poem. Might you have some suggestions on how to improve it. I notice you gave me 4 stars, but didn't really critique anything. It's truly how I learn. Let me know. Thanks again.

So nice and so true, I guess each of us goes through it: "
My laughter, pain, my joy and tears,
my insecurities and fears,
released from my soul through my verse,
it lightens up my universe.
Why do I write? I guess it's true,
it makes me happy when I do!" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thank you for reading and reviewing my poem. :)

It's lovely with the yellow background. The picture is ancient however, and one of you pondering would really fit the bill.
Punctuation in a poem (commas especially) at the end is so old fashioned. Poetry looks better with no comma or full stop at the end of each line.
Since it's now 2021 and people are still writing a modern take would suit.
