I'm sorry thst there were things you and your hubby couldn't agree on. I've never understand why America is one of the few western democracies that never had socialised medicine, most of Western Europe, us, England, a prescription costs only $5:80 here, the doctor nothing. I once paid $125 in NY for a simple GP visit. Your daughter was a a generous soul, well done, blessings Roy
Typo : Because of the (exense) expense?

Thank you Roy, I appreciate the review and comment. As far as socialized medicine, the medical lobby is very powerful. They give a lot of money to congressmen to keep it out. They are try to make people believe, they get inferior treatment will socialized medicine.

I think our medical fraternity would be most miffed by those thoughts, trust me, that?s not the case. I?ve been in both countries., paid big bucks there for removal of stitches. They?d rather spend money on weapons I?m afraid Beth.

As typos know my daughter and son-in-law law lived in NY for over 4 years, had the top cover, but still forked out thousands for exactly the same medical as here, our 9 year old grand child was born there. It?s not true, what the pollies are saying, bless you Beth.

The doctors charge what they want here. I needed a prescription refilled and the doctor wouldn't let the drugstore refill it until I came in. I did and all they did was weigh me and take my blood pressure. They charged my insurance $278. for and office visit and me $168, for a wellness visit and the prescription was only $2 80 for a three month supply.

That?s legalised robbery, and would tell them so, if I need a prescription filled I don?t even need to see the doctor, I can ring the receptionist and pick it up the next day, mind you at my age the doctor has already prescribed my drug,

Typical problems when it comes to money. I think Evan felt you had enough concerns with work and Don. He never wished to put more on your plate.
Good write Beth.
I think who are interested are getting acquainted with you and your family in a deeper way.
Nothing wrong with that.

I think he didn't want to deal with the possibility that I might have a problem with him giving them money and might argue about it. He disliked any kind of conflict. I disliked being kept in the dark about things. Thank you so much for the review and the six stars.

Beth, this is a sterling chapter. If I had them I'd give you six stars. I like the way you introduced Evan's family into the story, one by one, and gave us the pertinent information about them while filling us in on what was happening in your neck of the woods. The money problems seem to have been very prevalent during that particular time. I do understand Carol and Evan re the money. When you donate, you don't own up to it. I enjoyed reading this chapter.

Thank you, Ralf. I'm so glad you like this chapter. I liked all his siblings and they seemed like family to me. I was a bit tighter with my money then than I am now. I figure I have enough to last me. Then I wasn't so sure.

I could quite understand what you felt when Evan didn't talk to you first about giving away money like that. I know he felt he needed to help his family, but with only you working, that wasn't fair. Men can be strange animals at times, Lol. Everything is going along well, Beth. I'm really enjoying your life story, and I'm sure your family will enjoy reading it for generations to come. I await the next part! :)) Sandra xx

like I always say, you amaze me that you can remember every little detail when I find it difficult to remember who or what in my stories (And I just named them). It's always enjoyable to read and to get to know you just a little better. Very well written. Smiles to you! Carol

Thanks Elizabeth. I'm sure it probably if something a lot of people argue about. I would have had less problems with him giving them money, than with him doing it without telling me. Thank also for the editing help.
