His is father was remarried = His father was remarried (drop the 'is')
Our neighbors keep to themselves. = Our neighbors kept to themselves

I was disappointed you couldn't see Jerry Lee Lewis. I've always thought the personal touch to refer to your husband in the memoire lifts the story and emboldens you to make it more passionate. What I like most is how there's enough faith to get through the trials. It is encouraging to read your story. Blessings.

I always like it when you put your memories in the historical context of what was going on then. If you're interested, one of our writers, Lisa Wharton wrote a novel based on that time period of the protests in China.
I am glad that Evan put his foot down on the latest request for money. But sorry that you had to take the blame. At least the both of you were united in the decision.
