I have never thought of politicians as monsters, it is a thankless job as you cannot please all of the people all of the time. There have been monster leaders in the past who have hurt the people, but not in America. I congratulate you on your win, a well rhymed and poignant write, love Dolly x

Thanks for reading. I don't mean monsters in the traditional sense, but rather people who do monstrous things that hurt others. That is what our current politicians are now doing. Thanks again for reading. :)

There are two types of people in this world -- those who are self-serving (caring about no one but themselves, insatiably craving power over others and endlessly greedy for wealth wrested from others they deem unworthy), and those who voluntarily help others in every way they can (regardless of the risk, cost, and/or effort required in each case).
In this well-written poem, you have politicians properly categorized as the former, clearly citing multiple examples. They do not represent those who elected them, and consider themselves above our Constitution and any other laws they dislike.
Until Obama took office, we had made great progress toward unity in our country; but he and his policies undermined that. Trump did his best to reverse that course, but the corrupt leftist "news" media tried unceasingly to thwart him in every way, including claiming that no election fraud occurred in 2020.
Now we see the consequences -- Obama and his cohorts secretly running the "elected" administration, which is doing all it can to run our country aground as fast as possible (including trying to establish the likelihood of election fraud on a national basis by rejecting voter ID and removing all other security measures for elections -- all of which is contrary to our Constitution, which assigns election rules to state legislatures).
Now, with supposed "Covid relief bill after bill, they are running up the national debt, mostly to transfer money to their undeserving cohorts rather than to the citizens and legal immigrants who actually need it.
The sixth star is for your courage to post this, given the "cancel culture" now rampant. We are fortunate that FanStory is politics-neutral.

You are most welcome. Even though this post so far has received relatively few reviews (some of which were negative), congratulations on deservedly winning the contest by accurately describing the real monsters we presently are stuck with -- hopefully temporarily. Maybe they'll go far enough to awaken past supporters sufficiently to justify a thorough defeat in the next election -- IF they don't succeed in rigging it nationally, which is why they are trying to rush that into (unconstitutional) law.
One reason why many reviewers living outside the U.S. are on the wrong side of this issue is that the only "news" they get comes from Globalist owned and controlled media. Also, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others are attempting to censor the truth on many important topics, while public schools, most colleges, and even many preschools are actively teaching lies and suppressing real history. Those who were brainwashed that way have no idea what the real truth is. It will take more than elections to reverse it all -- but we must keep at it.
I commend you for standing tall on this topic. Brava! -- Mike

You are totally right that the real monsters are the ones in the White House. It's like they've all gone mad! All the things he has gotten rid of that were working fine is a disgrace. The new things like opening the wall and ought to be grounds for impeachment. Anyone with half a brain knows that he's ripping America totally apart. This totally looks like they are wanting one-world control. They are setting us up for the end. All we need now is the Antichrist! Good luck with the contest.

I am not American, so I can't really tell what's going on in the country and I don't have any political views on that matter; However, your poem seems to me a little bit hate-spreading, there's a lack of subtlety in expressing your viewpoint. There is also no real explanation on why these exact politicians are so bad to be called monsters - and why do you think that overall politicians are monsters; after all, they all are just people, not perfect like neither of us.
Overall, I just feel like your talent as a poet (you clearly have a talent!) is wasted on some kind of hatred spreading. So please, don't take my comments and rating as an insult to you or your political views - I really don't care much about politics anyways. It's just the overall feeling I get after reading it, (which doesn't really make me feel good).

Thank you for reading. My intention with this piece, is not to spread hate but to bring awareness to what is going on with this current administration. It is thier quest for complete power that makes them monsters. As history has shown us time and again, the true monsters in this world are human beings who are consumed by thier greed and lust for control. Thanks for reading. :)

Being an Aussie I can't say I know enough about your politics though to me it seemed like trump who dropped the ball especially denying the pandemic, but any hoo I very much like your words as yes there are many monsters in politics, in in Aus. they are now being named, very well written and best wishes for your contest****kahpot
