An interesting presentation of an individual's journey through a past of unrealized opportunity and regrettable choices. And then, the question- what will be the final choice. A powerful, thought provoking story.

Thank you so much!

Wow, what a powerful story! Some of our current religions portray and end--of--life scenario just like this, where we are afforded a choice for salvation or eternal damnation. Your description of wandering in the darkness really set the scene for the following story, we have an inherent fear and apprehension of the dark; we are unable to see what lies ahead and are also unbalanced by the lack of a reference point.
The chance at redemption after a wasted lifetime was a satisfying conclusion to your story.
Very well written!

Thank you for your review. We never know when we will take our last breath. We ourselves must be ever watchful and pray for those who have yet to make that right choice..

"You have come to the end of your journey, behind those doors lie eternity. I give you one last opportunity to choose. " I like the scenario you have portrayed here. The sad part is that we do not know how long we have to live, and there may not be a last-minute opportunity. How important it is to surrender our heart to the Lord, and live our lives for Him.

You speak truth None of us know when we will draw that last breath. We need to be ready and pray diligently for those who don't. Tank you for the review

Poet,
This is some very fine writing! Talk about being an evangelist! Wow!
No flaws in this post!
Interesting use of "doors" of opportunities lost or missed and decisions made in life and how they effect outcomes.
Perfect entry,
Anna

Interesting walk around live possibilities and choice. I like the best this one:"I wondered to the next room. There was a picture of a lovely home on the wall and I knew it could have been mine, but because of my choices, my home was a cardboard box in a dirty alley,
In another room stood a beautiful woman and three lovely children which I knew were meant to be mine, but I selfishly chose a life without responsibilities. Suddenly, I became overwhelmed by a sense of loneliness that absorbed me completely." Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Hi Iza for taking to time to review my story. I hope you enjoyed it.
Comment from Susan Newell
This is a very thoughtful entry and reflects my own belief that everyone will be given a final choice to accept Jesus, for He said He had left none behind. Some souls will have a longer route no doubt, and more regrets than others. This is an exceptional entry. The choice of all choices.
One typo:
I wondered to the next room -- wandered

Thank you so much Susan for taking time to review my story. I pray for all to come to repentance, for it is the will of God.
