In my opinion, oh, wow! This is "Exceptional" - no other word fits - a beautiful and articulate write. Actually, I became emotional while reading this - it truly struck a nerve, as do so many of your writings.
Only one suggestion, to address the typo in line 2 of the 2nd stanza, by deleting the word "to," which follows the word, "should"...

What a beautifully written poem. One I'm sure we can all relate to at some point in our lives as we search for answers, trying to find our way in this world. I've had a similar experience lately a true test of faith. I kept thinking God can't give us more than we can handle, but things kept piling on. When I finally asked for help I felt this calmness come over me like all my worries were gone.

Your artwork and well chosen words capture that sense of oneness with nature at daybreak. It is a time of reflection and revelation - after a period of darkness. That is how we learn to walk by faith, and not by sight. God is invisible, but the glory of creation leads us straight to Him.

I know why, you were encased by the strength of your faith as you pondered the many thoughts that lightened your soul's load. So, by the early break of day, you were convinced of your passion for the Lord, and this is as it should be. Hi Jesse, I loved your running commentary about my long, solitary walk in the darkness.. You nut, you know most of that is metaphor... LOL. I do believe that the Lord would have us trust Him more. :). Thanks so much.

What a great meditative poem of spiritual reflection! I really liked "A colorless cloak seems to dim my awareness" - it's really like that sometimes. And it makes us uneasy because we do insist that we must have all the answers and find it hard to accept, "Providence asks that I trust Him once more." I love that you end with a resolution of faith in "I'm one with the dawn as the daylight unfolds." Hope you do well in the contest!
