We do think we need all the answers, when all we need is trusts in God. I was right along with you on your journey through the darkness to come out in the dawn. Things always look better in a new day.

This is wonderfully written. Yes, the answer to all life's struggles lies in the words, "unless one comes as a small child, one cannot enter or see the kingdom of God" a rough paraphrase of what Jesus meant, just trust, though we don't understand, He has our number. A beautifully scribed poem Melissa, smooth, eloquent, with that feeling of lostness that we feel with understanding's lack, excellent job my friend, blessings Roy

This is delightful, Melissa. What a refreshing change from all the so-called poems I read every day! The meter just moves along at a good pace and captures the story. Great Job, Dear. I love it and I wish I had saved a six. Good luck this should be a winner.(IMHO) Nancy:)

Thank you very much Dolly. So appreciate you!! Hey, I have a question... as I have been reviewing this morning, I have come across some regulars that have a 4 average on their poetry. I followed it back to a newbie that joined this morning. She has valid reviewing points, but it seems a 3 is her norm in reviewing work. I reviewed hers and she had six syllables in the first line of a 5 7 5. And I gave her a 5 with suggestions. Should I send her a message or just let her figure it out?

She will no doubt learn the ropes for herself when everyone mutes her! Ha ha ha, I did check her out though, thank you for the heads up on this one, love Dolly x

I love this and these three lines are SO relatable for me: "find myself peering at shadows for clues." "Why must I insist that I have all the answers" "I'm one with the dawn as the daylight unfolds.

Interesting use of the amphibrach metre in a fairly serious piece of poetry. The dactylic substitution in line 12 is well placed, acting as a 'heads up' for the message of the poem

I really enjoyed this poem. It sounds to me as though one would have been wrestling with something in their dreams. While searching for an answer they came upon the reality they must wait and trust in Him. This realization brings peace as they drift back into a peaceful restfulness and rise to the new dawn.
