That was a nice 60-word story. You don't have to be a red-head to know those feelings either. Lovelorn looks is something we should give and receive. Nice work. Good luck in the contest :)

I enjoyed your story. It was cute and it speaks to the loyalty of our canine friends. Your words reminded me of the many times I've daydreamed about a certain singer or actor whom I fancied. This story captured the wistfulness and longing only a love-sick person can feel.

I completely enjoyed this presentation for the 60 Word DAsh contest. Sweet Hildy is the very best! I enjoyed the Rockwell style of the painting as well as your write.

This sixty-word story, Stat Struck, has the proper word count and sets the reader in a momentary position we may all have been in once as we turned the corner into puberty.

LOL Every kid should have a loyal pup to be close friends with. you can tell the pup all your dreams or nightmares and he'll still lie his head on your knee and make puppy dog eyes at you.
Good luck with the contest~

Hmm, I think times have changed, and even if they haven't. I feel this guy has bigger issues than red hair. Very interesting short and relatable to many people who have self-esteem issues.

This is an excellent little story--meeting the prompt requirements with the charming description of a moony-eyed youngster in love with the famous and beautiful, but he realizes his little dog is there for him. Great artwork

You got me. The Norman Rockwell is misleading when you begin reading this story, AND, perfect by the end of the story. My mind immediately began racing to remember an actress named "Hildy," only to find out it is the name of the adoring dog. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

How cute! You used a perfect illustration. Norman Rockwell does such wonderful expressions. That expression on that boy's face fits perfectly with your story. The surprise is that Hildy is not a girl but his faithful dog. Best wishes in the contest!
