There was a lot to take in with this chapter. I've wondered why the SAS team doesn't have one of those vans with one of those listening devices to hear conversations from outside?

I've seen those used in different shows and movies before, but didn't know how effective they were. Either way I think the little wasps were really neat to add for the technology. Great chapter!

Thank you again for another lovely review, David. I did think of those vans, but you have to have put mics and cameras inside the house. They had no opportunity to do that. With the wasps it wasn't neccessary. I had to think ahead on that one!! LOL. Thanks for this, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra,

Excellent continuation once again. i like the wasp detail, very clever.

CNN news was flashing warnings as satellite pictures of a hurricane heading towards America were shown on the television's large screen. -very minor here, but you could omit television's here.

My dear Debs! When I woke up this morning and saw 8 reviews in my box, I was gobsmacked. You are a fabulous friend and I can't thank you enough for all the time you have spent editing my chapters. You should be the reviewer of the month. Thank you for the lovely golden sixth stay! Sending love along with the hugs! Sandra xxxx

It's enough knowing I'm YOUR reviewer of the month! lol.
I got caught up in a book from the library. Have you read 11/22/63 by Steven King? I'm NOT a horror book person, so haven't read a lot of his work, but this one ... oh, man, oh, man! It's a time-travel story and, while I bet you don't know that date, many Americans do. It's the date JFK was assassinated in Dallas. The writing is beautiful and concise, the plot is intriguing and the combination of thriller and romance is perfectly balanced. It's 'Steven King long', but it's worth it.
Anyhow, I'm done with that one and back to reading here and the O'Malley series from the library, so I won't be so bad at keeping up! lol.
Hug right back across to you.

He put his forefinger under her chin and tilted her face up so she (had to look) into his eyes; then, taking a handkerchief from his pocket, he mopped up the few tears that had escaped her rapid blinks. (looked) With 'had' in the sentence it sounds like telling instead of showing. This is a really well written chapter and thank you for sharing. Stay safe.

Thank you, Jackie, I've changed it to read:
He put his forefinger under her chin and tilted her face up leaving her no choice but to look into his eyes.....
I must remember that! I'm glad you liked this part, and thank you so much for your help. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, he mopped up the few tears...how hard was she crying??...sounds like an industrial job...maybe...he wiped away the tears...or even kissed away the tears...

well you can see there is true love in the wind...smiles and butterflies to spare...hmmmmm...

I hope where they are at will handle a hurricane...knowing
Grant as I do...I couldn't see him buying any land that
that would blew away that easy...

and Jeff better stay real close to Monica...something is going on in the house of horrors...and I do like the wasp idea...just hope Cruella and Company don't swat at them like I do...or spray them with anything close...

and lets hope Latifah is safe...and baby...

ok my amazing sweet friend...lets see where all this takes us...this is one of the best chapters...I love all that mushy stuff...and the untouchable foreplay...beautiful you...sooooo very well thought of...and very well written you...much love swimming your way...Linda xxoo

Is Grant a reasonable man? I'm asking that question because pulling back from Tania at a very intense moment seems unreasonable and inconsiderate. Tania's reaction seems too mild to be realistic.

Are these two standing up? Because Tania seems to skip the process of standing up.

Peter barges in. Neither Tania or Grant thought to lock the door?

I hesitate to give you less than a 6 rating because I'm not sure that I would make the same suggestions If I had read the previous chapters.. You are a very good writer. Of that there is no doubt.

...mother, who---There's just one mother.

America--I suggest you be a bit more specific.
Interesting story. Jeff

Hi Jeff, you have come in almost at the end so what you have read is only a tiny part of what's happened. The romance hasn't really taken off yet. The mother isn't a nice person, she dumped Grant as a baby to go off with another man after Grant's father was killed in the war. He was brought up by his grandfather.
Tania had her architect plans stolen by Grant's half brother, Colin, whom he never knew existed until recently. Grant, who has a worldwide building business, met Tania when she applied for a position at his London branch as an architect. She was accused of stealing the blueprints she brought to the interview. Colin, in fact, stole other blueprints from Tania and sold them to his half brother. A lot has happened after that, Tania is kidnapped, beaten up and had her arm broken. Rescued by Grant, now in hiding as her life is in more danger from his half brother and crazed mother.
Peter lives there in the villa where they are, he works for Grant and is also a friend. Peter's wife is very pregnant, due very soon. A lot has happened, and it's difficult to answer all your queries without you knowing what has happened.

Thank you so much for the six stars, and the compliment, I really wish you had started at the beginning, but as it's nearly finished, it would take a while. Probably 5 chapters left. I don't know if what I've written here has helped. As you might realise, the plot has a lot going on. :)) Oh, this is set in London, (I'm English) and they are on Grant's private Island in the Bahamas. Phew!! Thank you, Jeff! :)) Sandra

Good gravy. You put more effort into your reply than I put into my review. You would win the Reply of the Year, if such existed. Because I can't do a good job of it, I'm tempted to quit reviewing novel chapters. I rarely have the time or inclination to read novels. I read Anne Patchett's "Bel Canto" two years ago because if I had a role model, she would be it. I wish for you mountains of success. I am impressed by your devotion to excellent writing.

Oh! you have given usa lot of excitement in the last 4 chapters.I missed them and so I read them back to back. I loved the frolicking dolphins and then Monica had to leave her job. Grant's mother hiring Rapier was worrying. Then grant has his friend and his new to toy to deal with him.And the beautiful Romance between Grand and Tanya and the budding feelings between Jeff and Monica---altogether a lovely feast.

Liking your story. It is suspenseful and has romantic scenes once in a while. I hope you have great luck with your novel. When it is your own words and thoughts; it is yours the minute you start writing. It is a copywrite. (I was thinking about the blueprints and how Tania was protecting them from her ex. It is the same feeling when your writing, you are protected.)

Tania paid to have the one Grant wants copyrighted so if Colin tried to lay claim on it he would be sued. She learnt her lesson the hard way. I didn't know that about our writing automatically being copyrighted. I thought you had to have it done officially. Thanks for that!
And, thank you so much for the lovely comments you made about my book. I really appreciate it. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Protecting your ideas, besides being impossible to do legally speaking, is also not as important as protecting your written stories. Be aware of what you can protect in terms of your written work. As soon as your written work is put down on paper, it is copyrighted from that moment forward.

Okay, Sandra:
Flying wasps that can record everything they "see or hear" - you have just raised the value of wasps 1,000 percent. There are days I would really like to have a couple of those.
A hurricane targeting Grant's little island does not sound like a lot of fun for those waiting for it to happen. Poor Latifah. Is there a pool on who might deliver her baby in the storm?

You've managed to build up the tension perfectly, both in the Bahamas, and back in the UK. The thought of a full force hurricane hitting a remote island would be terrifying to anyone, far less someone who's used to living in a moderate climate, and has only seen the potential devastation on the TV. What will happen if Latifah goes into labour? Here's hoping they have some kind of underground shelter with towels and hot water!
I can't wait to find out what happens next.
