You nailed it with this poem! People who love to read and write will definitely understand just how true this is! Sometimes I get worried that books are going to be a thing of the past but it seems the older generation is keeping the traditions alive. Exceptional poem!

OK - in eight words there is very little that can be done. In fact the better question might be why bother since you're almost certainly doomed to fail. And that is the case here. This isn't a poem, it's a bumper sticker and one the likes of which I've seen plastered on library walls since I was a child.

We are kindred spirits. I'm an avid reader as well, I get lost in my books. I prefer actual books rather then reading on a kindle....how about you? There is just something about the feel and smell of them. Thanks again for reading my poem. :)
